Santa Clara County Superior Court Resumes Limited Operations

Santa Clara County Superior Court resumed limited operations commencing June 2, 2020. The Chief Justice of California and Chair of the Judicial Council issued emergency Orders on June 01, 2020 declaring June 1, 2020, to June 30, 2020, inclusive, be deemed holidays for purposes of computing the time for filing papers with the court on certain deadlines.


While the Court is utilizing video and audio technology to conduct proceedings remotely, some hearing are still getting continue.


On June 18, 2020, the Court also announced that it will resume Jury trials with new social distancing protocols.


On June 23, 2020 the Court issued Orders regarding the Parent Orientation and Mediation Procedures. Due to COVID-19 the Court is not requiring a motion or a Court Order to refer the parties to Mediation. Instead, mediation may be initiated by a Stipulation to Telephonic Family Court Services.
