Santa Clara County's Limited Operations and Face Covering Requirement

On May 12, 2020 Santa Clara County issued Orders requiring all persons entering the courthouses to maintain social distancing of at least six (6) feet as well as the mandatory requirement to wear a face covering. Any person who refuses to wear a face covering after being directed to do so by a judicial officer may be removed from the courthouse for failure to comply with this Order.

On May 08, 2020 Santa Clara County issued general Orders confirming limitation of the Court's operations. The Court however updated its list of additional Court Calendars which will be open for a limited basis relating to certain criminal law proceedings, family law (domestic violence, child support contempt and dependency hearings) certain civil complex cases, commencing May 19th.
